It will enable delegates to gain an overview of Contract Management, to obtain an understanding of the key management areas, pitfalls, and benefits, as well as help inform decision making when managing Service Providers.

What will I learn on the course?

The course is split into four interactive 2-hour sessions with plenty of opportunities for delegates to become active participants in the knowledge-gaining process.

  • ·other ways a manager can track and monitor the performance of the Service Provider such as payment and performance mechanisms, as well as inspections, reporting and monitoring systems

    Session Three will assist:

  • understanding of risk and the importance of developing a risk register to manage the risk of financial and operational failure.
  • management of commercial risks
  • how a Pain and Gain sharing agreement allows a contractor and supplier to share profits or cost savings and share losses due to errors or cost increases.
  • why Variations to the service requirement will be made and how.

Session Four looks at the important issue of communications between the client and contractor. It will identify that;

  • it is important to have well-developed methodologies and processes in place to facilitate this.
  • outline the purpose and content of a communications plan contract meetings, contract closure, and renewal procedures.
  • In addition, it will summarize the key information required to produce a contract management plan (CMP) which will explain how the contract will be managed.
