The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), is the professional body which represents waste and resource professionals working in the sustainable waste and resource management sectors worldwide. CIWM sets the professional standards for individuals working in the industry and has various grades of membership determined by education, qualification and experience.

 Scottish Resources Conference 2014 - Programme Launched

The 2014 Scottish Resources Conference is being launched this week. With a number of high-profile speakers, including the Environment Minister, this year's programme is once again a 'must visit' conference for anyone working in green economy.

Delivered by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and Zero Waste Scotland, the key themes of the conference are around managing resource risks within the industry and successfully developing a circular economy; a topic which Richard Lochhead MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Rural Affairs - Scottish Government, will be addressing.
