About this regulated qualification
This qualification is part of the CIWM (WAMITAB) Operator Competence Scheme. It provides technically competent managers (TCMs) in England with the knowledge and skills to ensure waste sites comply with relevant regulations.
Assessment is conducted in the workplace through a portfolio of evidence, demonstrating competence in managing health and safety, minimising environmental impact, handling the movement, sorting and storage of waste, receiving non-hazardous waste, managing transfer and disposal from non-hazardous waste transfer and recovery operations and managing regulatory inspections.
