About this regulated qualification
This qualification is part of the CIWM (WAMITAB) Operator Competence Scheme. It provides technically competent managers (TCMs) with the knowledge and skills to ensure contaminated land remediation operations comply with relevant regulations.
Assessment is conducted in the workplace through a portfolio of evidence, demonstrating competence in:
- Managing health and safety
- Minimising environmental impact
- Handling the movement, sorting and storage of waste
- Controlling work activities
- Managing site operations for the remediation of contaminated land
- Managing the transfer of outputs and disposal of residues from contaminated land remediation
