About this regulated qualification
Gain critical skills to manage resources and waste management activities effectively and deliver reliable services to the highest standard.
To gain this qualification, learners must complete 15 units, including all mandatory units and one unit from each of the four optional groups (B, C, D, and E). The required units focus on essential skills such as managing operational areas, maintaining health and safety, allocating work, and ensuring the quality of treatment processes. The option groups allow learners to tailor their qualification to their role by covering areas such as operational improvements, managing outputs and residue disposal, budgeting, and site management.
This flexible qualification is ideal for both new and experienced managers, supervisors, and team leaders in the resources and waste management sector who need evidence of their competence.
Please note: this qualification is not part of the CIWM (WAMITAB) Operator Competence Scheme and is open for registrations until 31/12/2026.
