Introducing the CIWM Volunteer Awards

CIWM is built on the passion, expertise and generosity of its volunteers. From mentoring future leaders to shaping regional activity and championing professional excellence, our volunteers make an extraordinary impact every day.

This year, CIWM is proud to launch the first CIWM Volunteer Awards – a new annual celebration recognising outstanding volunteer contributions across the Institution.

Award Categories
We are delighted to invite nominations across five award categories:

- Volunteer of the Year
Honouring an individual whose contribution has had a significant and lasting impact on CIWM.

- Regional Committee Member of the Year
Recognising exceptional commitment and service within a CIWM Regional Committee.

- Rising Star of the Year
Celebrating a volunteer early in their CIWM journey who has already made a remarkable impression.

- CEI Volunteer of the Year
Rewarding the dedicated volunteers of the Circular Economy Clubs and Circular Economy Institute.

Acknowledging an inspiring mentor who has supported, guided and motivated others to succeed.

How to Nominate
Nominations close: 14 July

All CIWM members, of any grade, are welcome to nominate. You can nominate as many volunteers as you like, across one or multiple categories.

If someone has inspired you, supported your development, or made a difference to the CIWM community — we want to hear about them.

What Happens Next?
July: Nominations will be reviewed and judged by a panel of CIWM Fellows
August: Award winners will be announced
September: Awards will be formally presented at the prestigious CIWM Fellows Lunch
