CIWM LSC: Site visit to the Biffa Eastleigh Transfer station and MRF (Afternoon)

This is an opportunity to have a visit to the high-capacity waste transfer and sorting station. 

It aggregates and pre-sorts around 90,000 tonnes of recyclable materials annually—including cardboard, paper, and plastics—before transferring them to larger treatment. Before the site visit there will be a presentation from specialist who have been involved with the operation and development of these facilities.
