Award for Demonstrating Project Innovation

This award celebrates innovation within a resource or waste management project. Whether it is the approach taken or the project scope, the application needs to clearly articulate what was different about the project, why it was innovative and show why the results from the innovation were beneficial to the organisation, community or sector.

Award entries must:

  • Provide an overview of their entry – why is it innovative? (max 100 words)
  • Demonstrate how their entry shows innovation (max 500 words)
  • Explain the issue their innovation was designed to address. How was it implemented, over what timescale, and at what cost? (max 200 words)
  • What aspects of their entry are specifically new, or improved, as compared to other solutions? (max 250 words)
  • How have the innovation(s) given rise to environmental changes or, ideally, improvements (reduced emissions or CO2, recycling a new materials stream…) (max 250 words)
  • Show any other (non-environmental) outcomes (increased productivity, reduced costs, improved health and safety, behavioural change and increased awareness and participation) (max 200 words)
