Resourcing the Future Conference

The Resourcing the Future Conference 2018 (RTF18) saw inspirational speakers and thought-provokers come together to discuss extended producer responsibility, design, waste crime and deposit return schemes in what was the liveliest conference we've had to date. RTF18 was a forum for resource and waste management professionals, policy experts, academics and government representatives to debate and help shape a new policy framework that supports the delivery of the "zero avoidable waste" vision.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the conference sponsors; European Recycling Platform and Hadfield Wood Recyclers, the exhibitors and delegates for their contributions.

I thoroughly enjoyed #RTF18 this year. The mix of speakers was excellent, with some well-known names, some new faces and a number of new sectors were represented. I really appreciated the lively debate, the ‘app based’ questions and polls, and the honesty and commitment of all those who attended, willing to share their ideas and perspectives amongst like-minded individuals.
Dr. Adam Read, External Affairs Director, SUEZ Recycling & Recovery UK.

I was very pleased to be offered an opportunity to both attend and present at RtF, understanding what a key calendar event the conference is I jumped at the opportunity to present and network with lots of industry professionals.
Networking to me is an essential part of my job as I encourage businesses to share preferred suppliers, reduce and consolidate their waste and of course to recycle more. It helps me to learn about legislation, changes in the industry as well as lessons learnt and new approaches.
