Overview

This course is based on guidance developed by all four UK waste regulators and is therefore suitable for anyone within any of the four countries of the UK (a Scotland specific version of this course is also available). If you deal with hazardous wastes and need to ensure you are classifying them correctly and assigning the appropriate codes, this is the perfect course for you.

What’s in it for me?

By the end of this course you will be able to:
• have a working knowledge of the legislation and guidance governing the coding and classification of hazardous wastes – including the latest WM3 guidance
• be able to use the relevant data sources to classify hazardous waste
• understand what you need to assess Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)
• understand how and when to use the new hazard classes, categories and statement codes.

Who should attend?

Anyone classifying and coding hazardous wastes, including producers, operators of waste treatment or disposal facilities; and waste carriers and brokers.
