11 July 2022

CIWM has been shortlisted in three categories for the 2022 Memcom Excellence Awards: Team of the Year, Best Magazine <20k Circulation, and Best President, in recognition of the work of Immediate Past President, Dr Adam Read.

The shortlist was announced at a conference on 29th June and the winners will be unveiled at a dinner at the Hilton Bankside in London later this year.

Established in 2000, Memcom created the awards to recognise excellence in professional membership organisations and celebrate the successes of professional bodies, associations, charities, and the wider not-for-profit sector.

The awards are judged by an independent panel chosen based on their expertise in their fields. Judging the 2022 prize is chief executive, Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Alastair McCapra, CEO, British Dietetic Association (BDA), Andy Burman, chief executive, GS1 UK, Anne Godfrey, and CEO, UKCISA, Anne Marie Graham.

Commenting on the nominations, CIWM’s CEO, Sarah Poulter, said: “I’m delighted that CIWM has been shortlisted in three categories for the 2022 Memcom Excellence Awards. It’s great to see everyone’s hard work at CIWM recognised by being shortlisted for the Team of the Year award for membership organisations.

“Following from Circular's win in the best magazine category in 2019 and Circular Online's best website win in 2020, being shortlisted in the best magazine category again shows how we’re continuing to deliver high-quality content to our members.

“It’s also great to see the fantastic work of our former President Dr Adam Read recognised. Adam being shortlisted in the Best President or Chair category is well deserved and the timing is fitting as he takes up the role of Immediate Past President following Dr Anna Willetts presidential inauguration.”
