CIWM has published its Q2 Policy Round-Up, which sets out recent policy activity by the five UK and Ireland governments and how CIWM is engaging to reflect the voice of the sector in these areas.
This useful round-up, which members can access here (and can contribute to their continuing professional development (CPD)), comes under CIWM’s mission to “influence, inform and inspire” the sustainable management of resources and waste.
CIWM works across Ireland and the UK to engage with and support the development of resource and waste management policy, champion professional standards and good practice, and aims to keep members informed on the latest key issues relevant to the sector.
CIWM’s CEO, Dr Colin Church, commented: “It has been a long time since our sector has seen such a period of change and potential.
“As an organisation dedicated to promoting a world where we make the best and safest use of resources to protect and enrich life on our planet, it is a core part of our role at CIWM to ensure the expertise of the professionals working in the field is reflected in the decisions our policy makers take.
“Acting together through CIWM, our members can be so much more than the simple sum of the parts.”
