The CIWM Resource Conference Cymru returns for 2022

Join us for a day of inspiration, conversation and collaboration as we explore the key issues and opportunities Wales faces on its journey to One Planet Living.

In the morning, you’ll hear from Welsh Government and CIWM on how Wales can meet the challenge of achieving Net Zero and contribute to a green recovery; a Welsh local authority will share their experience of declaring a climate emergency and how they plan to become net zero carbon by 2030; and the Youth Parliament will give valuable insight into how young people view current environmental issues and their hopes for the future.

In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to attend two of our three topical workshops where you can join the conversation about some of the key issues generating debate in the sector: flexible packaging collection and recycling, the infrastructure required to support Deposit Return Schemes, and the future of collection vehicles and what might power them.

You’ll also have the chance to network and discuss the topics of the day with fellow delegates and explore our lively exhibition area where, amongst others, you’ll find The Repair Café who will be on-hand to mend items while you enjoy the event.
