Scottish Resources Conference WEBINAR 2020

In the current climate of COVID-19, lockdown and physical distancing, it has become necessary to change how events are held. With this in mind, this year’s Scottish Resource Conference will take place as a virtual session that will help bring together delegates and move the resources dialogue forward.

The theme of this year’s virtual event will be ‘Building Sector Resilience: what 2020 taught us and what happens now’. It will take place as a 90-minute webinar session and will also include an interactive Q&A session with the panellists and an after-event ‘Network roulette’.

The session will look at how COVID-19 has impacted Scotland and its journey toward a circular economy, and what needs to happen to build back better, greener and more resilient than before.

Our panelists will represent government planning, green finance, behaviour change, local authorities and the private sector and will represent an accurate ‘health check’ of the resources sector in Scotland, as well as being able to look forward to Scotland’s green recovery.

Panel includes:

Chair:  Linda Ovens, CIWM Scotland Centre Councillor

Representative from Scottish Government
Cath Preston, Head of Innovation, SEPA
Pam Walker, Waste & Recycling Manager, Aberdeen City Council
Michael Cook, CEO, Community Resources Network Scotland
Dr Nicki Souter, Nick Souter Associates
Angus Hamilton, Managing Director of Levenseat representing the Resource Management Association Scotland (RMAS)

After the session, attendees will be invited to remain on the platform for a networking time until 1pm.
