CIWM is making it easier for metal recycling yards and sites to validate the health and safety competency of contractors who visit and work on their premises, supporting them to improve health and safety in the workplace and reduce the risk of accidents occurring on site.
Developed in association with BMRA, the Metal Recycling Contractor Competency Scheme (MRCCS) is a brand-new initiative which provides evidence of an individual’s capability and competency, enabling employers to quickly and easily check that contractors have the required health and safety skills, training, and awareness to work on a site in the metal recycling sector.
In this webinar, you’ll learn about the key benefits of the scheme – the first of its kind in the metal recycling sector, including how it can support you to reduce the risk of accidents on site and decrease the amount of time spent on health and safety inductions so your contractors can get on with the job.
You’ll hear from representatives from CIWM and BMRA who will explain the details of the scheme, as well as leading employers who now require evidence that contactors have passed the MRCCS test in order to work on their sites.
