Training Course Summary – Circular Economy and Waste Management
20th November 2024, 9:30-1:30
About this training
CIWM recognises that “as society moves from a ‘take, make and dispose’ mentality towards a circular economy, the resource and waste industry needs to be prepared for this shift in business and the consequences on their operating models. Still in its primary phase, the circular economy will impact on almost every business currently involved with resources and waste.”
This course is designed to ensure that those involved in the resource and waste management industry are prepared for this shift and have the skills to adapt to how the profession is changing. It focuses on how the principles of a circular economy are being applied across our industry by placing value on reusing resources by moving from a linear system to one where materials are reused, repurposed, and recycled, helping to reduce pressure on the world’s resources.
