MANAGEMENT OF RESIDUAL WASTES INCLUDING TOUR OF MBT PLANT MANAGED BY BIFFA FOR WEST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

The London & Southern Counties Centre is pleased to give notice of an Open Meeting and Site Visit to be hosted by West Sussex County Council and Biffa at Brookhurst Wood, Langhurstwood Road, Horsham, RH12 4QD on Friday 27 September 2019.

The meeting will commence at 10.00hrs with registration and coffee followed by presentations on the management of residual wastes, the operation of the WSCC MBT facility, the Biffa Street Sweepings facility and the residual waste capacity gap.  After a buffet lunch, delegates will be able to tour the MBT facility.

We are very grateful to WSCC and Biffa for hosting this event.

Delegates are reminded that we will be visiting an operational facility and that the H & S requirements laid down by the site management must be followed at all times. 
 
Delegates are encouraged to travel to the meeting by public transport or car share if possible. Some parking will be available at the MBT Plant.  Delegates requiring a parking space must pre-notify on the booking form. 

The nearest railway station (with taxis) is Horsham. The MBT facility is about a 10 minute taxi ride from Horsham railway station.

There is a limit on places for this event and places will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.
