Part of the ‘Hard to Manage Materials’ technical series

The estimated £1 billion worth of precious materials lost annually in WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) highlights a critical gap in resource recovery. Efficiently extracting critical raw materials during the dismantling process is key to building a more circular and sustainable business model.
This technical webinar will explore:
Whether the cost of extraction is a barrier to better material recovery.
Strategies for cost-effective value recovery from dismantled assets.
Real-world examples of successful material extraction and circular economy solutions.

With the UK waste sector facing significant legislative changes, including the proposed 2028 ban on biodegradable waste to landfill in England, adapting your processes to maximise recycling and minimise disposal is crucial. Join the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and a panel of industry experts as we discuss the critical role of innovative solutions in transforming waste management.

Explore how advanced biotechnology transforms waste management by significantly reducing landfill dependency and post-process treatments enables the extraction of valuable recyclable fractions, further reducing landfill reliance and supporting a circular economy.

Gain expert insights into the challenges, opportunities, and necessary steps for accelerating the adoption of sustainable waste technologies.
