Excellence in Employer Leadership Award

This category is for employers who are leading the sector to raise standards regarding Health & Safety, training, learning & development, technical competence and community engagement. Applications are sought from employers that are making positive impacts on the opportunities for their employees to develop better, safer, working practices and develop skills to make them competent at their jobs. We are also looking for candidates that are helping the sector through collaboration and sharing of best practice.

Award entries must:

  • Provide an overview of their entry etc. (max 200 words)
  • Provide details of the strategy or vision, from senior management, committing the company to striving for excellence in developing employees. (max 200 words)
  • Provide details of initiatives that are being delivered or are under development, covering all that apply (The submission for this bullet should provide details of how the initiatives go above and beyond legal requirements): (max 500 words)
    • Health & Safety
    • Training
    • Learning & development
    • Technical competence
    • Community engagement
  • Provide details and evidence of results that have been achieved. (max 300 words)
  • Provide details on the collaboration and/or sharing of good practice (including working with forums e.g. SWITCH/WISH) that the organisation has undertaken within the sector. (max 300 words)
  • Where appropriate, provide a statement on the future work or ambition your organisation has for itself and also for the sector, in leading employees to better outcomes. (max 200 words)
