‘Your Health & Safety …this time
it’s personal’
This event is part of the CIWM Health
& Safety campaign ‘This time it’s personal’, which is a CIWM priority policy
theme for 2019.
This campaign aims to improve the health and safety image and safety culture
of the resources and waste management sector, improve standards and reduce
accidents and fatalities by:
• Ensuring individuals take personal
responsibility and know what is expected of them for the health and safety
they are able to influence in their role
• Encourage individuals to improve
standards by making changes within their area of responsibility including
challenging behaviour of others
• Highlight methods of good and best
practice and to encourage others to use good examples
