CIWM Cymru Wales Site Visit to

FCC Environment Llanddulas landfill and composting facility

The site comprises a permitted landfill and composting facility operated by FCC Environment, situated within an impressive 100-year old quarry on the North Wales Coastline.  The landfill is permitted to accept up to 600,000 tonnes of non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste per annum, while the composting facility composts up to 20,000 tonnes of biodegradable waste per annum.  The site visit will provide some experience of landfill and compost management including required infrastructure for prevention of pollution of the environment, such as landfill gas and leachate extraction systems.

Delegates who do not show up on the day will be charged the full rate at the time of booking.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of CIWM Cymru Wales to change the content and timing of the event. In the unlikely event of us having to cancel the event, CIWM Cymru Wales will make a full refund of the tickets but disclaim any further liability.
