Time

Meet at Bells Sports Centre, Perth. Situated on the picturesque North Inch, it’s within easy walking distance of the City Centre. There is also car parking available at Bells Sports Centre.

10:00 for a 10:15 start

North Inch Golf Course is home to Perthshire’s first Footgolf course. The 9 hole layout is great fun and you don’t need any football or golfing skills to take part.


Footgolf is a combination of football and golf It’s played by kicking a standard size 5 football into a large 21 inch diameter hole in as few kicks as possible.


Alternatively, attendees can have the opportunity to play 6 holes of the North Inch Course. The course is:


  • One of the world’s oldest golf courses
  • In a great location, right in the centre of Perth
  • An east walking course, with a fun and enjoyable layout

10:15 – 11:15

“Tea on the green” provided by Beautiful Perth (other beverages are available!)

11:15 – 11:45

Guided Walk up along the Riverside with Perth and Kinross Council Greenspace Rangers.

The 3 mile route will take you from the North Inch, following the River Tay to the Willowgate café, visiting Norie Miller Park, Rodney Gardens and the Riverside Heather Gardens along the way.

The route is flat, mainly on surfaced paths but sturdy walking shoes / boots are recommended.

A minibus is available for anyone who is unable to walk to the Willowgate café.

11:45 – 13:30

Lunch at the Willowgate Café which will consist of Soup of the day with crusty bread and a choice of sandwiches:

13:30 – 14:30

At Willowgate there is the opportunity to either:

  1. Have the opportunity to try out a variety of different crafts including kayaking, canoeing & stand up paddleboarding on the training lochan.
  2. Take part in an hour of archery and then an hour of aqua zorbing on the training lochan.
  3. Take part in 2 hours of archery (Target & Field Archery)

Informal evening meal and drinks

Additional Information:

Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for the activities listed. In particular sturdy footwear is required for the footgolf and the walk. Walking shoes or boots are recommended.

For those participating in watersports, wetsuits and all safety gear is included. However, participants should bring:

  • A Towel
  • Shoes to get wet
  • Something to put under your wetsuit
