CIWM Cymru Wales - North Wales Technical Event and Site Visit
Members are invited to visit Parry & Evans’ Deeside Recycling Facility — one of the region’s busiest commercial recycling centres and home to a wide range of material recovery operations.

Established in 1961, Parry & Evans is a third-generation family-run business supporting over 1,000 customers across Wales, the Northwest and the Midlands. The Deeside site processes thousands of tonnes of cardboard, paper, plastics, metals and wood every week, using a combination of state-of-the-art machinery and decades of industry expertise.
During the visit, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Tour our full processing operations, including paper and cardboard sorting, baling, and warehouse storage
- See live demonstrations of our advanced plastic recycling equipment, including shredding, granulation, and material preparation for re-manufacture
- Learn how we support circular economy principles, turning commercial waste streams into valuable reusable resources
- Explore practical solutions for complying with upcoming recycling legislation (including Simpler Recycling requirements)
- Gain insight into fleet operations, handling logistics, and container solutions across multiple waste streams
This visit will appeal to CIWM members interested in commercial recycling processes, resource efficiency, waste compliance, and the real-world application of circular economy principles.

- Please bring your own high-visibility vest/jacket and safety boots. These must be worn during all on-site activities.
- Car parking is available on site, located on the left as you enter through the main gates.
- A safety briefing will be delivered at the beginning of the visit before entering any operational areas.
