The CIWM North East Region invites you to join a morning event showcasing best practice, innovation, and success stories from the waste, recycling, and sustainability sector across North East England.
Designed as a celebration of the Circular Economy, the event will highlight organisations leading the way in their respective fields and proudly supporting the North East Region.
Attendees will benefit from a series of technical presentations delivered by leading regional organisations that are actively driving progress within the Circular Economy.
Hosted at the historic Guildhall in York, the event will feature five expert speakers representing a range of sector-leading organisations, including:
- Sarah Atkinson from East Riding of Yorkshire Council, ranked among the top five recycling authorities in England
- Paul Rochester from Dennis Eagle/Terberg, presenting on innovative recycling vehicle development
- A thriving community re-use organisation
- A representative from Geminor, sharing insights on RDF production operations
- Mike Maudsley from enfinium, covering advanced carbon capture technology from municipal solid waste treatment
- Charlotte Davies, CIWM Early Careers President - progress on the ambassador team work
Together, these speakers will demonstrate practical solutions and real-world impact from across the sector.
The event will also offer CIWM North East Centre members the opportunity to promote their businesses to delegates free of charge, with a dedicated small tabletop exhibition area available for networking, showcasing services, and building valuable new connections.
