Volunteers Required!

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) has ten regional centres all of which have at least one active New Generation Group. These groups organise events, visits and meetings for Students, Graduates and those new to the waste industry and the Chartered Institution. The meetings are normally at a minimal cost and discounts are available to CIWM members. The aim is to hold approximately 6 meetings each year.

The co-ordinators of the NGG are volunteers and the key tasks are as follows:

  • Arrange NGG events including liaison with the site visit provider, booking speakers and arranging a venue;
  • Produce flyers to promote the events;

  • It counts towards CPD hours;
  • It is enables opportunity for networking;
  • Valuable skills are learnt including event organising;
