I am pleased to announce details of the 2008 Annual General Meeting and next open meeting with associated site visit to be held by the Republic of Ireland centre. As such I would like to extend a cordial invite to you from the Republic of Ireland centre to attend this event. Members of all grades and non-members are invited to attend the whole event, although only corporate members may vote at the AGM.
To be held on the 30th of April at Cork County Councils new landfill facility situated at Bottlehill , Co. Cork (off the N20 Mallow – Cork Road) the meeting will comprise of three papers that focus on landfill engineering and the management of landfill emissions. I enclose an agenda for the day, attendance at which will constitute 4 hours of continuing professional development (CPD).
The cost of attendance at this event is €20.00 for members, €10 for student members and €40.00 for non-members. If you would like to attend please complete and return the enclosed form to the address shown. Payment should be by cheque made payable to “Chartered Institution of Wastes Management”. Alternatively, please enclose a purchase order number.
Also enclosed is a location map showing the location of the facility. There is plenty of free car parking on the facility. There is a requirement to ensure that you bring your personal protective equipment to comprise of steel toe cap boots / wellingtons, hard hat and high visibility clothing.
