This course is an option for demonstrating operator competence for the purpose of operating a permitted waste and resources facility for “low risk tier” sites – eg inert waste transfer / treatment, in house storage, WEEE storage, MRS (dry scrap – no free flowing liquid).

It can also be used by non landfill facilities in the “medium risk tier” or “higher risk tier” applying for a new permit and who wishes to make use of a 12 month grace period to obtain the appropriate award.
