For the first time this year, CIWM's Professional Awards and Environmental Excellence Awards will be brought together in one high profile event. The CIWM Awards 2012 will celebrate professional development, achievement and performance in the field of waste and resource management - both within the waste industry and in relevant commercial sectors such facilities management, retail and construction.

The CIWM Professional Awards are focused around skills, learning and professional development. Through a number of bursaries and awards, they provide support to CIWM members undertaking research, study tours and attend major waste conferences. In addition, the Peel People's Cup recognises excellence in teamwork and performance and is open to any permitted waste site in the UK.
