Module Titles

  • Environmental Risks - Hazard, Assessment and Management (10 credits)

  • Energy from Biomass and Waste: Thermochemical Processes (10 credits)

  • Circular Waste Management: Recycle, Recover and Dispose (20 credits)

  • Management for Technology: Energy (10 credits)

  • Renewable Energy Technologies: Design Case Study (10 credits)

  • Energy from waste operations (10 credits)

  • Pilot-plant Operations (10 credits)

  • Group Project (full time) or dissertation (part time) (40 credits)

  • Individual Project (80 credits)

The modules include lectures and tutorials, and are assessed through practical work, written examinations, case studies, essays, presentations and tests. There is a group project and an individual research project.

Full time (Overseas) students:
MSc - £17,500
PgDip - £14,500
PgCert - £10,380

Part time (UK & EU) students:

MSc/PgDip/PgCert - £1,500 per academic year plus £1,230 per module

Full-time MSc - one year

Part-time MSc - up to three years

Entry Requirements

Candidates must posess, or be expected to achieve, first or second class UK Honours degree in a relevant science-based or engineering discipline, or the international equivalent of these UK qualifications.  Other relevant qualifications, together with significant industry experience, may be considered. Please contact the University direct if you do not meet the formal entry requirements.

English Language

If you are an international student you will need to provide evidence that you have achieved a satisfactory test result in an English qualification. The minimum requirements are as follows:

  • IELTS - 6.5 overall

  • TOEFL - 92 

  • Pearson PTE Academic - 65

  • Cambridge English Scale - 180

  • Cambridge English: Advanced - C

  • Cambridge English: Proficiency - C

 

In addition to these minimum scores you are also expected to achieve a balanced score across all elements of the test. We reserve the right to reject any test score if any one element of the test score is too low.
