CIWM is a Finalist in the British Training Awards 2025

CIWM has been named a Finalist in the British Training Awards 2025, for the 'Public Sector Initiative of the Year' category. This nomination formally recognises our strategic partnership with NHS England to develop and deliver a scalable national learning programme for waste managers across their trusts. The programme directly supports NHS England’s 2040 Net Zero Carbon goal and Clinical Waste Strategy, focusing on training waste managers to improve workforce capabilities and waste segregation, generating annual savings of £11 million for the NHS.

With a range of categories including ‘Training Initiative of the Year’, ‘Public Sector Initiative of the Year’ and ‘Leader of the Year’, the British Training Awards sets out to discover and celebrate the teams and individuals who are truly passionate about L&D’s role in building a thriving workforce.

This year, over 360 entries were received from organisations across the UK, and so competition to be named a Finalist proved to be fierce. Firms taking part range from start-up pioneers to public sector heroes, tech trailblazers, global titans and everything in between.
