Economics, Environment and Employment – delivering the circular economy in Wales
Wales is a world leader in the recycling and recovery of municipal waste. An achievement that has been delivered through a clarity of objective and a progressive public-sector partnership. The challenge ahead for Wales is to make the most of the new resource agenda and ensure that it provides economic, social and environmental benefits to communities throughout Wales, creating a truly sustainable economy in the future.
The event took place on 13 March in Cardiff and explored the challenges that face Wales, bringing together the cutting-edge ideas, key policy makers and industry representatives as well as technology solutions to create a working agenda for the circular economy in Wales.
The Conference provided inspiration, guidance and practical tips to local government practitioners, the waste and manufacturing sector and community businesses as a whole.

“My colleague and I attended the CIWM Resource Conference Cymru as both delegates and an exhibitor. We found the event was extremely well organised, busy and productive with an interesting range of topical seminars. The event was attended by key decision makers from which we received some good leads and opportunities. We will do business from this exhibition, making it a valuable event to attend and good value for money.” Paul Fleetwood – National Accounts Director, Cromwell Polythene
