Introduction to Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT)
Introduction to Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT)
About this training

In 2021, the UK produced around 2.5 million tonnes of plastic packaging annually. However, less than half of it was recycled (44.2%, UK statistics on Waste), meaning large volumes of plastic waste are still sent to landfill or incinerators for disposal. This learning course introduces the UK Plastic Packaging Tax - a key policy designed to help tackle plastic waste and its associated environmental consequences by encouraging the use of recycled materials and reducing reliance on virgin plastics.

This short 15-minute course will provide interactive e-learning to help you to develop a greater understanding of PPT and what it means for key stakeholders across the UK.
