Electric vehicles (EVs) are rapidly increasing in popularity, helping decarbonise the transport sector. This transition brings a new challenge – how to deal with end of life electric vehicles, and in particular their batteries.
Altilium is a UK-based company which is working at pace to make commercial-scale processes for EV battery recycling a reality. Their vision is for a domestic EV battery supply chain, where the critical minerals powering the energy transition are recovered from recycling existing waste streams, reducing mining and preserving our natural resources.
This is a great opportunity to join a CIWM site visit and build your understanding of this innovative processing technology and its contribution to the decarbonisation of automotive travel.
