What will I learn on the course?
Underpinning legislation, the permitting and exemption regimes; how to apply for an Environmental Permit; how to vary, modify and surrender permits; determine the permit required for any given operation; recording and reporting regimes; how to manage your facility; facility operations; facility and permit do’s and don’ts.
Who is it for?
Waste Management and Planning officers, decision makers, managers and staff with responsibility for management and compliance or Permitted Facilities.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
You do not require any prior knowledge of waste and resource management to enrol on this course.
How will I benefit from taking the course?
Once you have completed this training, you will understand your Environmental Permit or Exemption; understand the underpinning legislation; be able to apply for a Permit; modify and amend your Permit; create a site specific Waste Management Plan; understand site based Health and Safety requirements; understand Duty of Care requirements; receive practical examples of issues and solutions for site based operations.
