Innovation City will showcase cutting edge launches in the Waste, Energy, Recycling and Water industries

The UK’s leading innovative companies are set to showcase ground-breaking products and services from the resource sector at Innovation City during RWM 2017, which takes place from 12 to 14 September at the NEC Birmingham in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).

Innovation City is hosted by Innovate UK, an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (DBEIS). Located in Hall Four at RWM 2017, Innovation City exhibitors include:

  • Arvia Technology Ltd - http://www.arviatechnology.com/

The developer of a breakthrough, low-cost, chemical-free solution for treating complex, and in some instances toxic, organics in industrial and municipal wastewater.

  • Avgo Biotech

An innovative business that extracts high value materials from processed eggshell by-products, producing valuable mineral and biological products.

  • Blume Labs Ltd - https://www.blumelabs.com/

A forward-thinking company showcasing an LED lightbulb with a 70-year lifespan – not only energy-efficient compared to standard lightbulbs, but claimed to be the only lightbulb you will ever need to buy.

  • Fiberight - www.fiberight.co.uk

The developer of a unique process to recover value from residual waste.  A true circular economy solution generating high value sustainable materials and products.

  • MDF Recovery Ltd - www.mdfrecovery.co.uk

  • Topolytics - http://topolytics.com/

  • WSS - www.wss.eu

A specialist in encouraging and measuring waste separation at the front door. It develops, produces and delivers services and waste registration equipment for a wide range of needs.

Innovation City will also be the platform for presentations and debates from the UK’s most forward-thinking companies, while visitors and exhibitors can also discover the investment opportunities available from Innovate UK and DBEIS.

As well as Innovation City, other key features at RWM 2017 include the RWM Connects Lounge in Hall Four, a complimentary matchmaking service allowing exhibitors and visitors to use the RWM database to arrange meetings prior to the show.

Hall Four also hosts the CIWM Resource and Waste Clinic, which will see industry experts on-hand over the course of the show offering advice and insight. And the UK’s Department for International Trade is also returning to RWM 2017 Hall Four to offer visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to gain insight and advice about exporting products and internationalising their business.

There will also be the opportunity to have some fun at RWM 2017 by making use of the four-hole crazy golf course and bar at the back of Hall Five, sponsored by Adtrak. It’s a great way to network in a relaxed setting away from the hubbub of the main show.

Nicola Meadows, RWM event director, Ascential, said, “Innovation lies at the heart of RWM 2017 – cutting edge technology and services are constantly pushing the boundaries of resource efficiency. With over 450 exhibitors and 11,000 visitors, RWM 2017 is the only place that the Energy, Water, Waste and Recycling markets can truly collaborate towards building a more resource efficient future for One Planet Living.”
