The British Retail Consortium (BRC) and The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) have launched a consultation with Government, local authorities, manufacturers and retailers to make sure the standardised recycling labelling for packaging scheme has widespread acceptance. is a customer's local authority will accept the material. For more information see http://www.brc.org.uk/details04.asp?id=1278

CIWM LAUNCHES NEW VEHICLE & PLANT SUPPLEMENT
CIWM has enlisted the help of industry journalist, Malcolm Bates, to produce a
new quarterly supplement to the CIWM journal that aims to provide the missing link
between manufacturers and operators. Municipal Vehicle Operator (MVO) will be distributed to all CIWM members and subscribers with the journal and will act as a forum to promote best practice, spread knowledge and provide information to help operators get the job done more efficiently.
If you are an end-user using a new product, or an exiting piece of equipment in an innovative way, other CIWM members want to hear about it. If you're a hire company
or manufacturer with a new product and want to put it to the test, MVO can help get
the results to those that matter.
MVO launches in February 2008, but we want your involvement NOW!
