The Collection, Recycling and Environmental Cleansing Special Interest Group are holding a briefing session on operating a collection and recycling service safely and efficiently. Can and should kerbside boxes be used? What needs to be considered to deliver a safe but efficient service? Alternate weekly collections increase the recyclable material collected but there are issues with health, for both the householder and the operator, are they real of perceived? Do you need to keep momentum on alternate weekly collections and if so how do you go about achieving this.
