The Composting Association
The Composting Association is the leading membership organisation for composters in the UK. It actively promotes the sustainable management of biodegradable resources and advocates the use of biological treatment techniques. It encourages good management practices through out the industry.
The Association has over 650 members and represents the interests of compost producers, local authorities, technology suppliers, compost users, community groups, academic institutions and other organisations involved with managing biodegradable wastes and marketing composted products.
The Association works with Government and other regulators to ensure that an appropriate legislative and regulatory framework is in place to permit the sustainable development of commercial, community and domestic biological treatment capacity. By advocating a suitable regulatory and economic framework, the Association works to ensure the long-term sustainability of the biological treatment industry.
