TECHNICAL OFFICER
Location: Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, HQ
Salary: £15 - 18,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management is looking for a technically competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the technical department.

The role involves providing technical and administrative support to CIWM members, staff, committees and working groups, dealing with technical enquiries, undertaking research and report writing.

You will enjoy working in an active and dedicated team as well as able to work well on your own initiative.  There will be the opportunity for specialisation. Communications with other departments within the organisation especially the events team who are involved in the design and delivery of workshops and seminars.

Applications are invited from persons with relevant academic qualifications, some knowledge of the wastes management industry is preferred but not essential.  The successful candidate will have strong drive, good interpersonal skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
