Please click here to download a copy of the LATS Estimator.  This is an Environment Agency Tool which has been developed to help Waste Disposal Authorities estimate their likely landfill allowances.  Please note that this tool is only designed to ESTIMATE probable allowances and that the actual allowances are expected to be issued later this year. 

The tool is based on information published in the Waste and Emissions Trading Act (2003), Defra's August 2003 Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme Consultation Document and the April 2004 Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme Consultation Outcome.  Copies of these documents and a FAQ relating to the scheme can be found at http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/waste/localauth/lats/index.htm
