The Annual General Meeting of the London & Southern Counties Centre will be held on Friday 11 April 2008 at the Civic Offices, Sutton. The AGM will be followed by an Open Meeting on diversion of waste through awareness, education and persuasion. Members of all grades and non-members are invited to attend the whole event, although only corporate members may vote at the AGM.
A separate agenda for the AGM and for the Open Meeting is attached together with directions for travelling to the Sutton Civic Offices.
The delegate fee for the event is £10 for Student and Graduate Members, £20 for Members and £30 for Non-members (inclusive of VAT). Non-members working for an organisation affiliated to CIWM will qualify for a 20% discount. There is no charge for members wishing to attend only the AGM. Delegates should submit the booking form with their cheque, made payable to CIWM London and Southern Counties Centre, to the above mentioned address by post. I take this opportunity to announce the results of the election this year for the four vacant positions on the London & Southern Counties Centre Council. Nominations were received for Peter Ager and Malcolm Sharp. These being the only nominations, these two members are duly appointed to seats on Centre Council for a three year term. There remain two vacant seats and Centre Council may appoint members to fill these vacancies until the next election in 2009.
