As part of the work of the Chartered Institution of Waste Management we have regional New Generation Groups for new members, new individuals to the waste industry and also for students.
The Peninsula NGG covers Devon and Cornwall and we run site visits, seminars and networking events to encourage new members into CIWM. Some of you may have attended our recent visit to the Lean Quarry Landfill & MRF at Liskeard.
We are running our next event on Tuesday 18th September 2007 at Broadpath In-Vessel Composter & Landfill Site, Uffculme, Devon
This is a short visit which includes a light lunch and is designed for a group of interested individuals to look at a composting and waste management facility and also to network.
The event is FREE but due to the nature of the visit there are only 25 places. Places will therefore be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. This event is kindly supported by Viridor Waste Management.
Due to the limited office space at the Broadpath site we will be meeting for lunch prior to the site visit at The Globe Inn, Sampford Peverell. A location map for this can be found at the following link:
