Founded in 1933 by George Butler, GW Butler is one of the few remaining family owned and managed Waste Management companies were the first operators of a Rotoclave medical waste treatment system in the UK. The Rotoclave is a twin vessel steam autoclave which sterilises medical waste removing the infectious risk. The Roclaves raise the temperature of the waste to 1380C for 15 minutes destroying all viruses and bacteria. The treatment has a comparable in achieving sterilisation as the level applied medical instruments. The treated waste is finally shredded to a fine flock the material is suitably for normal landfill disposal or potentially recycling! The company also specialises in collection and disposal of clinical wastes including both ‘bulk’ collection and container exchange services.
