CIWM has announced that former Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Veolia has been appointed CIWM’s Honorary Treasurer.
John Kutner (pictured) is currently Chairman of the Investment Committee for Iona Capital, having joined in 2011 and oversees all investment decisions.
John also sits on the board as Chairman of a number of Investee Companies.
John served as Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Veolia Environmental Services since its establishment in the UK in 1990.
During that time, he acquired a wide experience of the UK waste management industry including Municipal, Commercial and Industrial Waste Management, Waste Treatment including Landfill, Incineration and Recycling.
In particular he was responsible for negotiating and managing large integrated Waste PPP and PFI projects.
Prior to that John spent 19 years in the Construction Industry including serving as Finance Director for Tarmac Construction International and Transmanche Link (the joint venture constructing the Channel Tunnel).
Before the Construction Industry John worked in the Accountancy Profession including 6 years with KPMG both in the UK, Middle East and Australia.
John is an FCA as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and CIWM.
