CIWM welcomes the launch of WRAP’s Food Waste Action Plan

Commenting on the launch of WRAP’s Food Waste Action Plan this morning, chief executive of CIWM Steve Lee said:

“Food waste recycling is the next important step in terms of improving recycling performance and capturing the important resource value in this waste stream.  Led by WRAP, the development of the Food Waste Action Plan has involved a truly holistic approach, bringing together all of the key stakeholders and providing a valuable roadmap to address both the opportunities and challenges ahead.

It is clear to us that greater partnership working and collaboration across the supply chain is the way forward and we look forward to leading on some of the next stage work outlined in the plan.”
