This interactive, 1 day course will help delegates to understand how and why it is of commercial value for their organisation to manage the ways in which it interacts with the environment. The session will introduce environmental management as a business risk and will explore the commercial and sustainability benefits which can be yielded by proactively managing the ways in which our organisations interact with the environment. The session will also outline a range of tools and approaches available to help organisations manage their environmental impacts. This will include informal approaches as well as more structured environmental management systems such as ISO 14001, EMAS and BS8555/Acorn
