Description
Cowbridge Compost Ltd is part of Penllyn Estates, Cowbridge and is based on a large cattle and arable farm. The new IVC facility has been built to service the growing market for food waste disposal created from the Landfill Directive Targets. The facility is an eight-bunker four barrier linear system handling up to 10,000 tonnes of waste. The facility has a DEFRA license and operates under an Environment Agency Permit.

All compost produced at the facility is used on the farm arable and grazing land as a soil improver, reducing the requirement for artificial fertilisers.
