The Cross Party Group on Wastes Management in the Scottish Parliament exists to provide a platform for parliamentarians and all members to discuss all issues relating to waste management and the implementation of the National Waste Plan. The group will meet to ensure an exchange of information between members of the Parliament, industry and other interested parties. This may take place through presentations and debates.

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management would like to invite you to attend the above meeting. Chaired by Marlyn Glen MSP, the topic will be Zero Waste and speakers include Simon Stockwell of the Scottish Government who will discuss the zero waste plan and the review of the National waste plan along with Neil Lovelock from Community Recycling Network for Scotland. There will be plenty opportunity to ask questions and meet industry representatives. There will be a light lunch available.
Scottish Waste Management Liaison Group
The Scottish Waste Management Liaison Group (SWMLG) is a national stakeholder forum in Scotland. It aims to provide the opportunity for the regulator (SEPA) and the regulated to debate waste policy, implementation, regulation and waste strategy issues with a view to promoting increased awareness, better regulation and sustainable waste management practices.
