Republic of Ireland NGG

The Republic of Ireland centre is currently the fastest growing centre within the Institute.  The wastes management industry within the Republic is rapidly evolving, professionalising and expanding.  As such a considerable number of new entrants are joining our industry.  The CIWM welcomes all potential members irrespective of age or experience, but recognises that new entrants to the industry (irrespective of age!) face unique challenges.  As such a network of New Generation Groups has been established throughout the Centres of the Institute.

The ROI centre is embarking upon an exciting period as it expands and also realigns itself to meet the challenges of a changing industry.  The Centre Council is currently considering establishing a New Generation Group within the ROI and would like to hear from any potential members within the Centre who feel they might benefit from such a group in order to gauge interest.  NGGs are managed through a separate committee to that of the main Centre Council, offering them the opportunity to tailor their activities to best fit the needs of their members.  The Groups are still part of the Centre and receive support and assistance from the main Centre Council as well as the Head Office in Northampton.  If you would like to be involved with the Group either simply as a participant, attending events and seminars, or perhaps you would like to become involved in its organisation please contact Enda Kiernan.  This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who would like to become involved in the organisation of the Institute to do so.  Absolutely no experienced is required!  Only a genuine interest in the Industry we work in and a desire to further the aims and values of Institute.  It is intended that a significant NGG event will be held in autumn within the ROI Centre  Watch this space for more details!
