Midlands Centre Council Elections

ELECTION OF CENTRE COUNCILLORS

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Midlands Centre of the Institution will be held on Thursday 26 April 2012 at Gateley's, One Eleven Edmund Street, Birmingham B3 2HJ.

The AGM will be included in an Open Meeting focusing on "Zero Waste in Times of Austerity".

There are currently three Centre Councillors who will have completed their terms of office at the AGM.

Nominations are now invited for the three vacancies on the Centre Council. Nominees must be Corporate members of the Institution, i.e. Fellows, Members or Licentiates, whose registered address is within the Midlands Centre. Nominations must be in writing, proposed and seconded by two other Corporate members also registered within the Centre. The consent of the nominee must also be obtained in writing, and the nomination must be accompanied by a written statement of not more than 250 words, giving some biographical details of the nominee, to enable these details to be circulated in the event of a ballot being required.
